New York State legalized adult-use cannabis in 2021, and since then, licensed dispensaries have opened across the five boroughs and throughout the state. Here's what you need to know as a visitor from Guyana or anywhere outside the U.S.: cannabis is legal for adults 21 years of age and older. Full stop. You do not need to be a New York resident to purchase cannabis legally from a licensed adult-use dispensary.
