New York State legalized adult-use cannabis in 2021, and the licensed dispensary market has grown rapidly since. Here's what you need to know as a visitor: Cannabis is legal for adults 21 years of age and older. That means if you are 21 or older, you can legally walk into a licensed New York adult-use dispensary, browse the menu, and purchase cannabis products — no medical card required, no residency requirement. What You Can and Cannot Do

New York law permits adults 21+ to possess up to three ounces of cannabis flower and up to 24 grams of concentrated cannabis. Bring Your Passport or Government-Issued ID
