New York State legalized adult-use cannabis in March 2021, and since then, a growing network of licensed dispensaries has opened across the five boroughs and beyond. A valid passport works perfectly as your identification at any dispensary, and you will be asked to show it at the door.

What Is Legal in New York City

Adults 21 and older may legally purchase up to three ounces of cannabis flower or its equivalent in concentrate or infused products at one time.
