We were founded by Shane Breen, a U.S. Army Veteran, and LeVar Thomas, two partners with 25 years of friendship and shared vision behind them. What You Need to Know: Cannabis Is Fully Legal for Adults in New York State
New York State legalized adult-use cannabis in March 2021 under the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act (MRTA). Since then, licensed dispensaries have opened across the five boroughs and throughout the state, making it possible for adults — including tourists and international visitors — to legally purchase cannabis products at regulated retail locations. The rules are straightforward: you must be 21 years of age or older to purchase or possess cannabis in New York. You may possess up to three ounces of cannabis flower or 24 grams of concentrated cannabis at any one time. We want to be honest with you, because we respect you. Singapore has some of the strictest cannabis laws in the world. Cannabis is classified as a Class A controlled drug under Singapore's Misuse of Drugs Act. Possession, consumption, trafficking, or importation of cannabis in Singapore carries severe legal consequences, including mandatory imprisonment and, in some cases, the death penalty for trafficking above a certain threshold. We are not here to frighten you — we are here to inform you.
What This Means for Your NYC Visit
While you are physically in New York City, purchasing and consuming cannabis at a legal adult-use dispensary is completely lawful under New York State law. However, you must not attempt to bring any cannabis products back to Singapore — or through any airport, customs checkpoint, or international border.
