Our founders, Shane Breen, a U.S. Army Veteran, and LeVar Thomas, have been partners for 25 years. Together, we built Silly Nice from the ground up because we believed New York deserved a cannabis brand with real roots, real values, and real products. Thailand has had a complex and evolving relationship with cannabis. In 2022, Thailand made headlines by removing cannabis from its narcotics list, which briefly opened the door for commercial cannabis businesses. However, as of 2024, Thailand has been moving to re-regulate cannabis more strictly, with recreational use remaining in a legally grey or restricted zone depending on current legislative status. The bottom line: what is legal in New York is not necessarily legal in Thailand, and laws can change. Whatever you enjoy during your time in NYC stays in NYC. Do not attempt to bring any cannabis or cannabis products back to Thailand or onto any flight. Penalties for drug-related offenses in Thailand and across Southeast Asia can be extremely severe.
