Evidence Labeling
Every claim on this site is labeled by evidence type: lived experience, observational research, randomized trial, systematic review, government guidance, or unresolved. We never collapse all evidence into a simple "works" or "doesn't work" verdict.
Source Transparency
Every statistic, study, and policy statement links to its original source. We do not paraphrase without linking. Sources are checked against original publications and verified dates are displayed on every page.
Continuous Verification
Content is reviewed on a regular schedule. Sources are re-verified for link health. When better evidence becomes available, we update our content and note the correction. A corrections log is maintained publicly.
Editorial Independence
THE FIELD MANUAL is editorially independent from the Silly Nice product store. No product purchase buttons appear on educational pages. The only commercial connection is a footer identifying Silly Nice as the project creator.
Safety First
We do not recommend cannabis as a treatment. We do not tell veterans to stop prescribed medication. We do not connect Silly Nice products to medical outcomes. We provide crisis resources on every page. Cannabis is not presented as a crisis treatment.
Our Editorial Standards
We will show you the evidence.

THE FIELD MANUAL is written by Shane Breen, U.S. Army veteran, disabled veteran, and Co-Founder of Silly Nice. Shane is not a doctor, scientist, or lawyer. He is a veteran who has used cannabis for more than 25 years and believes veterans deserve honest information.
